Introducing the gospel to students with limited English presents challenges. The vocabulary used in the Bible differs greatly from that found in everyday conversational English. Consequently, ESL students often find their engagement with scripture frustrating, leading them to perceive the Bible as overly difficult to understand.

Our aim is to make initial encounters with God's Word accessible, fostering interest in its message and encouraging exploration in their native languages. We want to demonstrate how the themes and messages of the Bible transcend cultural boundaries, allowing students from diverse backgrounds to appreciate its relevance.

Furthermore, we desire students of various faiths to contemplate the identity of Jesus and the purpose of His coming. Our objective is to introduce students to Jesus in a manner that honors their cultural contexts while also presenting them with profound truths.

Founded by ESL educators, The Word Well understands that financial constraints pose a challenge to many ESL ministries. In light of the limited resources of teachers and the free gift of grace offered to us by Jesus, we are pleased to provide these resources at no cost.
